B is for Boring Boxing Day
Sunday, December 26, 2010  Christmas Eve at the bookstore.my bosses are world class and my fellow colleagues are lunatics. i'm the sanest of them all. Twenty-ten is coming to an end faster than me losing my gained weight. And honestly, I don't know how to feel. Do not ask me if 2010 is a good year or a bad year because I really do not have an answer to it. Just like how I do not have answers to why I have a small eyes or why I'm still a pauper. I do not hate 2010 but neither am I sad to see the days go by, I'm just sad to see me all flabby and round. But then again, i was looking like a malnourished jaundice-plagued piece of flab. But thankfully, despite piling on the kilos, I still am able to fit into my favourite pair of denim which I had bought a year ago, at my lightest. 2010 brought me to BooksActually where I got to fulfill one of my childhood dreams of working among books and literary giants. It also turned me into an undergraduate (finally!), though it was quite a struggle as to where I wanted to go and gain knowledge but I'm glad to be at Murdoch. Really.  Christmas dinner at Brazil Churrasco where I ate 100000 chicken hearts and 2000 pineapples. i'm a chicken killer! I had my little red book stamped a few times too in this year. At Batam with the Arts House peeps, at Kuala Lumpur my favourite smurfs, at Hong Kong with Burpie and Dawnie and finally at Ho Chi Minh City with my Bestie and Jasleen. Someone said if I had saved all the money I had spent this year on getting out of Singapore, I could go to somewhere better a la Japan or Australia. But I beg to differ. These are precious time spent with people who are worth it. Japan and Australia won't disappear, I can afford to go there when my pocket is fuller. -smiles-  So I hope God and mankind will be nicer to be in 2011. Meanwhile, I'm gonna go earn some karma points. happy boxing day, please don't kena "box". wahaha. |
