Monday, October 11, 2010  You know sometimes you would braced yourself for the worst that can happen. You give yourself days and weeks and even years to prepare your frail heart from breaking when the reality hits. But somehow despite the many shots of strength you inject yourself, you only realise the depth of how deep the wound is when the punch comes. There had been many stories from here, there and everywhere. I thought I was numbed from the various stabs but I guess the stabs were nothing compared to this fatal stab I gave myself. Was I upset? Maybe a little. Was I wishing for something else? Not really. Perhaps all I was looking for was an apology. But I know it wont come and on this very night, I realised that you are the very reason why world had gone all cold. But it won't be for long. And can I say this, I'm amazed at myself. At how happy I sounded in my text messages when in actual fact, I wasn't. I had a thousand and one questions and accusations but I reduced all of them into a 5 words text message and a smiley face. After so long, I really couldn't be bothered to have these answers because they do not matter. At least, I spat right in your face telling you that you are an ass. Tonight, I will pig out and listen to the sound of shattered glasses. Tomorrow, the sun will shine brightly and I will throw myself into work school and people who are worthy of my 5cent text messages.  It's 10pm now and i will only allow myself to wallow in self pity for 12 hours. Not a minute more, not a second longer. |
