As a professional
Monday, May 31, 2010  The very reason why I eyes smaller than a fishball is because I am always in situations that calls for my eyes to roll to the back of my head. As a professional who is double of my age, shouldn't you not only have a couple more white hairs than me and also more professional sense too? When a customer has yet to collect their tickets for a 7.30pm show and the clock in your office shows 7.35pm, shouldn't you have half the sense to call the customer and ask them if they are coming? Why come up and tell me that the customer has yet to collect? Do you think with 685 friends on my Facebook, I actually do know the 4million people in Singapore? Just because it is my event, do you actually think that i know all the 97 people who bought the tickets? Must I show you how to dial 8 numbers on our iPhones? -rolls eyes- As another professional who entered the company 2 months before me, shouldn't you be setting a good example for me by not telling me how lazy you really are? With so many performing venues in our premises, I understand that each of you are assigned one venue to be your.."territory". But really, I am appalled at your "Words of Wisdom". You tell me that in this workplace, it is best to know less. Even if you do know the operating system of the other rooms, you would keep quiet because you wanna do less. I really want to be a saint and go up to Heaven and not burn in Hell with Satan laughing in my face. But I cannot, really cannot help but to be prejudiced against certain races, gender and people. In relationships, the one who gives the most, suffers the most. In school, the hardworking one might not be the top grad. In life, the one with the good heart but have his or hers trampled on. In work, the efficient ones have to bear the brunt of the lazy ones. Nothing is fair in this world, I know. I just can't believe I can stomach this truth for the past 22 years of being alive, 13 years of education, 1 year of work. I rock, big time. |
